Catapult is a recruitment agency that has replaced consultants with technology in a bid to be more efficient. SME caught up with co-founder Oli Johnson to find out more…
How many employees do you have?
Catapult currently employs 15 people and we plan to expand the team in the near future.
What do you look for when you are recruiting?
Working for Catapult, candidates need to manage multiple engagements, workplaces and supervisors at the same time. This makes Catapult a bit trickier than the average job. For this reason we look beyond the general requirements of particular roles and look for individuals that are proactive, smart and autonomous.
What attributes are necessary in your business?
Organisation, an ability to work to strict deadlines and being able to deal with people person are essential skills for our business. Businesses and job candidates rely upon us heavily, so these attributes are critical in maintaining a positive relationship with our clients.
What makes you a good employer to work for?
Temporary workers can sometimes be the most vulnerable part of the workforce. This means that there’s an even greater onus to treat them well. We strive hard to do this. For example, we give the candidates the ability to rate employers so we can ensure that we’re only working with the best businesses.
