Property Moose is an online crowdfunding solution that allows individuals to invest in property without the need for large cash deposits, banks and mortgages. SME caught up with founder and CEO Andrew Gardiner to find out more…
Tell me about your company – where did the idea come from? How did you get started?
Three years ago I saw the need for a simple alternative to traditional financial services, a platform that empowers individuals, and one that would democratise property investment. We offer a fully integrated online crowdfunding experience that allows individuals to invest in property without the need for large cash deposits, banks and mortgages.
When it came to raising seed capital, we decided to crowdfund the business on CrowdCube. At the time we were the fastest ever pitch funded and raised 280 per cent of our target, proving that there was an appetite for our product. From there we have gone from strength to strength and continue to grow.
How would you describe your business’ ideology?
We believe in the democratisation of investment. In particular we feel that the property space should be open to investors of all kinds, regardless of how much they can invest. Our proposition provides simplicity, access to off-the-market property from £10, and importantly, a friendly and knowledgeable team ready to help and answer any questions members might have.
Could you tell me a bit about your product/services range?
We provide an online property crowdfunding platform which allows individuals the opportunity to invest in a slice of property from £10. With properties available throughout the UK, we bring individuals together to invest in and acquire properties without the use of any mortgages or loans. The property is held in a limited company and investors receive shares relative to their investment amount, giving them direct interest in the property.
With complete transparency and control, it is a hassle free way to build a diversified property portfolio, as well as an alternative way to invest.
