How do you use social media? Does it help you engage with your client base?
Yes it does and we use all the main platforms to communicate our new service updates on PacketPort. For example where we will be exhibiting, key staff hires, just good information that I guess one used to send in a newsletter not so long ago.
What new technology/apps are you considering using?
We are always looking to integrate and build tech into our daily processes and management. It was only recently that I was discussing with an employee of a European Post Office how tech is becoming such an important part of the postal industry, when only a decade ago the sceptics claimed that new IT based communications would kill our industry forever.
We continue to develop software for all areas of the company that can benefit from it – including finance, sales and of course our Operations.
What technology/apps have you been most impressed with over the past 12 months?
Personally I am very impressed with anything that combines an electronic method with physical delivery. Deliveroo is a good example of this and has benefited from what I would call ‘last mover advantage’.
