Julie Trunkfield, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the variety of businesses that have entered the inaugural 10-100 Awards. There were so many fantastic entries that showcased the best of UK SMEs, so it was hard to whittle them down to finalists and overall winners. I’d like to say a big congratulations to the businesses that scooped the top accolades and wish them all the best for the future.
“We created these awards to recognise those businesses that are managing to not just survive in these times but grow and thrive – from the kind of business where all your employees can fit around a table, to the kind where you need to book out the whole restaurant. We’d like to thank everyone who entered and here’s to next year.”
Thom Groot, CEO and co-founder of The Electric Car Company, said: “We are incredibly proud to get external recognition for the growth journey our team are going through. To be recognised for our great team of people, culture, and growth is testament to the effort put in by all the team.
“When we started, we never believed we would grow this fast. We are on a mission to help everyone make the positive choice to get to Net Zero emissions – making it more affordable, and simpler to make a greener choice. It will be exciting to see just how far we can go – as we are still at the start of our journey, and we believe we can make a big difference to make our world greener.”
Emily Tredget, co-founder of Happity, said: “Starting Happity from a kitchen table, to expanding beyond London, and now winning this award – it’s been such an amazing and sometimes scary journey. Our team is phenomenal. They all have such passion for what we do, bring amazing expertise to achieve great things, and work incredibly hard – mostly around their families – and so this award is such a lovely way to finish what’s been a hugely busy year for all of us. The growth we are seeing is so exciting. We know that providers and parents need Happity, and so it’s so exciting to be able to bring our services to new cities. The response has been phenomenal.”
