Northern Powerhouse Minister Jake Berry is delighted with the news that a Greater Manchester-based independent provider of digital transformation services has won a major award at the World IT Congress in Hyderabad, India.
Informed Solutions has been presented with a Merit Award for Emerging Digital Solutions at the conference with Berry saying: “Pioneering northern businesses such as this one are receiving the international recognition they deserve at the Global ICT Excellence Awards while showing the UK, and the whole world, why the Northern Powerhouse is at the forefront of digital technology and innovation.”
Billed as the ‘Olympics of Tech’, the awards are organised by the World Information Technology & Services Alliance, which is a leading consortium of ICT industry association members from over 80 countries around the world.
Informed Solutions is well known for its pioneering approach to building secure digital platforms that are increasingly used by government to make services more accessible, efficient and secure, as well as to provide a user experience that is personal and responsive.
Commenting on being recognised at this year’s global technology awards, Informed Solutions’ UK CEO Seth Finegan said it was an amazing honour. “To receive global recognition for the work we’ve done in improving government services and supporting digital inclusion is a fantastic achievement. Our aim, in designing digital platforms, is to ensure that more people have access to online services and that these are more humanised, so they are personalised and responsive,” he said. “This is a phenomenal event that brings together everyone, from Prime Ministers to ‘Sophia’, the world’s first robot citizen. As the premier international ICT forum, it’s often referred to as the ‘Olympics of Tech’ and we’re extremely proud to be on the podium with other award winners.”
Julian David, the Chief Executive Officer at techUK, added his congratulations. “TechUK is delighted to congratulate Informed Solutions on its Global ICT Excellence Merit Award. Their work on improving the delivery of public services to all citizens is a tremendously important area of digital transformation as budgets are squeezed and demands increase. This is an example of digital technology being a force for good, allowing people to access complex public services more easily and generating measurable improvements in welfare, social and economic outcomes.”
