Catapult is a recruitment agency that has replaced consultants with technology in a bid to be more efficient. SME caught up with co-founder Oli Johnson to find out more…
How do you use social media? Does it help you engage with your client base?
We use social media in a number of ways. We have a closed group for our candidates where we engage with them, take their feedback and reward them for job well done.
We also use social media as a communication and acquisition channel for our clients.
What new technology/apps are you considering using?
We’ve played around with AI a little. We can see some really cool use cases with those, particularly for clients that are not tech savvy.
What technology/apps have you been most impressed with over the past 12 months?
Personally, Uber has probably had the biggest impact on my day to day life over the past few years and my engagement has definitely gone up for the past 12 months. It’s just a really amazing user experience and definitely something we would like to emulate with Catapult.
What is your vision for the future? Are you looking to expand?
Presently, Catapult is only live in London. We are mostly focused on improving the product but the plan is also to expand into other markets within the UK and on mainland Europe in the coming months.
